BEECHER'S HOPE | CLOSED

Beecher’s Hope is the third largest horse ranch in the state of Lavinia, nestled near the edge of the Great Plains and within close reach of Blackwater’s city limits. A working property of pride and grit, it features a medium-sized crop farm alongside permitted small livestock. The ranch includes a sturdy main house, a single bunkhouse for ranch hands, and two spacious barns. Due to its size and demands, the ranch requires a dedicated team of at least four to manage daily operations and keep the land thriving.

This ranch was founded by a former outlaw turned settler, a man seeking redemption and a quieter life beyond the gun. Built from scratch, the ranch was carved out of raw land with blood, sweat, and dedicated. Over time, it’s become a symbol of second chances, a quiet place where riders find honest work and families put down roots. Though smaller than the great ranches of Lavinia, it needs only a tight-knit team of four to keep it thriving.

ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES

Players who own and operate the Beecher's Hope are not required to abide by any firm guidelines or rules - the location may be operated and maintained to the satisfaction of the owning rancher. â€‹

EMERALD RANCH | CLOSED

Emerald Ranch stands as the second largest horse ranch in the state, a bustling and self-sustaining homestead nestled near the town of Valentine and just a stone’s throw from the Emerald Train Station. The property boasts a spacious main house, multiple bunkhouses, and a variety of livestock areas for both large and small animals. A working garden adds to its charm and utility, while an on-site shop and saloon provide goods and gathering space for ranch hands and travelers alike.

Founded by a shrewd cattle baron during the first big push of rail expansion, Emerald Ranch quickly grew from a modest pasture to a full-fledged commercial ranch thanks to its proximity to the railway and fertile land. Over time, it became a favorite resting point for caravans and cowboys riding the long trails through central Lavinia. However, the size comes with demand—running the operation smoothly takes no fewer than six well-trained hands, each familiar with livestock, crops, and the ever-turning wheel of trade.

ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES

Players who own and operate Emerald Ranch are required to abide by a few firm rules in line with its general lore and history. Due to its location, Emerald Ranch must remain an open area, where people can pass through - it cannot be portrayed as insular and hostile to visitors. Likewise, it is encouraged for the ranch to focus on higher-tier breeds such as racehorses and imports. â€‹â€‹

DEWBERRY STABLES | OPEN

Dewberry Stables is a quiet, working homestead tucked along the winding, overgrown banks of the old Dewberry Creek in Lemoyne County. Though time and floodwaters have carved away much of the surrounding land, the stables endure as a testament to simple resilience and rural steadiness. The property centers around a modest yellow farmhouse. Three small-to-medium animal pens dot the land and a well-kept chicken coop are settled around the farmhouse as well. The pride of the property, however, is the large horse stables and adjoining corral, sturdy and well-worn, built for function over flourish. Whether it’s boarding travelers’ mounts, breaking in young stock, or tending to aging workhorses, Dewberry has made its quiet name in the region as a reliable stop for all things equine.

Once owned by a war widow who bartered horses to keep the land, Dewberry Stables has passed through a few hands, each owner adding to the structure without disturbing its humble roots. Easily maintained by a small team of just two, the stables thrive on hard work, familiarity, and routine. It may not be the biggest or the flashiest, but Dewberry’s charm lies in its honesty and simplicity.

ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES

Players who own and operate the Dewberry Stables are not required to abide by any firm guidelines or rules - the location may be operated and maintained to the satisfaction of the owning rancher. â€‹

MACFARLANE'S RANCH | CLOSED

MacFarlane’s Ranch is the largest and most expansive ranch in all of Lavinia, a proud stronghold of frontier grit and tradition. Set in lawless New Austin County, not far from the outlaw haven of Thieves’ Landing, it stands alone amid the dust and danger of a land not yet settled by civilization. The property supports both large and small livestock, with a horse corral and a medium-sized barn at its center. The ranch features a grand main house, several bunkhouses for the working crew, a dedicated blacksmith shop, and even an open-air chapel.

Founded generations ago by the MacFarlane family, the ranch carved its place into the harsh land through sheer tenacity, surviving drought, bandit raids, and border skirmishes. Its legacy endures as a symbol of strength and frontier resilience, but it does not run on history alone. Keeping the operation functional demands a team of at least eight players.

ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES

Players who own and operate MacFarlane Ranch are required to abide by a few firm rules in line with its general lore and history. Due to its location, MacFarlane Ranch must remain an open area, where people can pass through - it cannot be portrayed as insular and hostile to visitors. Likewise, it is encouraged for the ranch to focus on higher-tier breeds such as racehorses and imports. â€‹â€‹

OLD DOWNES RANCH | OPEN

Old Downes Ranch is a weathered horse ranch tucked between the rugged ridges near Valentine and the borderlands of West Elizabeth County.. Modest in scope, the ranch hosts a mixed stock of both small and large livestock, and a small garden that provides just enough to feed a working table through the seasons.

At its center stands a simple wooden cabin that serves as the main house, beside it looms a large barn fitted with worn stables, flanked by three fenced animal pens patched with whatever timber could be spared. Originally homesteaded by the Downes family before illness and misfortune claimed its early caretakers, the ranch fell into disrepair for a time until new hands took up the reins. Now slowly reclaiming its footing, Old Downes Ranch serves as a haven for those willing to work for their peace. With its rough edges and isolated charm, the ranch requires a team of at least four steady ranchers to keep the stock fed, the fences mended, and the land from slipping back into the wild.

ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES

Players who own and operate the Old Downes are not required to abide by any firm guidelines or rules - the location may be operated and maintained to the satisfaction of the owning rancher. â€‹

PRONGHORN RANCH | CLOSED

Pronghorn Ranch is a sprawling, highland property nestled deep within the emerald expanse of Big Valley, one of the northernmost and most picturesque regions of West Elizabeth. Ringed by pine-covered hills and framed by snow-capped peaks in the distance, the ranch stretches wide across fertile land ideal for raising both horses and sizable herds of cattle. At its heart stands a massive main house; built to withstand the brutal mountain winters. Nearby, a large horse stable and an equally large livestock stable dominate the central yard, flanked by two bunkhouses that are perfect for ranch hands. A working smithy is also built on the property with a small pen beside it often used for training or holding new stock. Scattered across the property are several open-air cattle pens.

Founded by hardy pioneers generations ago, Pronghorn Ranch has always been a place of grit and perseverance. Its isolation protects it from the chaos of the southern counties, but that same remoteness demands strength and self-sufficiency. Now one of the premier cattle and horse operations in the territory, the ranch requires at least a dedicated team of five to maintain its demanding routine.
