What Are Licenses?

Within the State of Lavinia, some features, though accessible, are considered illegal in-character without the proper licenses and documentation. For example, anyone may sell alcohol, but doing so without a liquor license may land you in hot water - a whitelisted doctor may practice, but without a valid license, they are breaking the law.

Licenses exist to provide a passive form of crime and law roleplay across the state - players are expected to purchase and renew their own licenses, in order to stay on the up and up... or to forgo them altogether in favor of criminal roleplay.

LICENSE GUIDELINES

Before purchasing a license, please review the following:

  • Some licenses require certain properties or careers to acquire them. Receiving licenses for required whitelists you do not have (i.e. purchasing a Medical License without a Doctor whitelist) will be counted in-character as forgery.

  • Players may hold unlimited amounts of licenses.

  • Licenses may not be stolen, traded, or dropped under any circumstance.
