SAFEZONES

The following page details the rules and guidelines of Lavinia State | Roleplay.

All players are required to familiarize themselves with the writings of the following page; the utilization of ignorance and/or loopholes of any type will not be tolerated during the handling of tickets or reports.

Safezones are predefined areas of the map where PvP-related content is restricted. These locations are chosen to promote mechanics as well as to ensure realism in-character.

There are four varieties of safezone, those being PARTIAL, RESTRICTED, FULL, and CRIMINAL. Each has a different set of specifications, rules, and guidelines to ensure that balance is kept between realism and gameplay. â€‹â€‹

 |      PARTIAL

Partial Safezones are areas where most PvP content is allowed, with the understanding that the areas are public or semi-public, thus creating a dangerous area for criminal roleplay.

In addition to areas marked on this page, player-owned houses and camps outside of towns are to be considered a form of Partial Safezone.

Within a Partial Safezone, the following acts may be committed:

  • Armed Combat

  • Misdemeanors (i.e. pickpocketing, public fighting, etc.)

  • Robbery

  • Self-Defense

  • Threats (i.e. threats to life, safety, or health, etc.)

  • Unarmed Combat

 |      RESTRICTED

Restricted Safezones are areas where PvP is limited, with the understanding that a large number of witnesses would realistically be present.

In addition to the areas marked on this page, player-owned houses and camps within towns, as well as ranches, farms, stables, plantations, manors, and saloons, are to be considered a form of Restricted Safezone.

Within a Restricted Safezone, the following acts may be committed:

  • Misdemeanors (i.e. pickpocketing, public fighting, etc.)

  • Self-Defense

  • Threats (i.e. threats to life, safety, or health, etc.)

  • Unarmed Combat

 |      FULL

Full Safezones are areas where PvP content is not allowed, with the understanding of mechanical inabilities and limitations.

Within a Full Safezone, no PvP of any variety may be conducted - likewise, players in PvP may not flee to these areas to avoid PvP. These restrictions are strictly applied to the NODES within certain areas, not to the surrounding building. E.g. robbing someone in a stable is fine, but if they are standing on the stable node it is not.

The following nodes are to be considered Full Safezones:

  • Barber Node

  • Clinic Node

  • Ferry Node

  • Gunsmith Node

  • Shop Node

  • Stables Node

  • Tailor Node

SAFEZONE GUIDELINES

 |      CRIMINAL

Criminal Safezones are areas where criminal roleplayers may escape, without the intrusion of lawmen and federal agents.

Law Enforcement Officers (LEOs) may not enter Criminal Safezones without a Warrant Request.

Within a Criminal Safezone, the following acts may be committed:

  • Armed Combat

  • Misdemeanors (i.e. pickpocketing, public fighting, etc.)

  • Robbery

  • Self-Defense

  • Threats (i.e. threats to life, safety, or health, etc.)

  • Unarmed Combat

Non-criminal characters found unrealistically entering Criminal Safezones will be subject to No Value of Life rules, and may face more severe consequences within these areas.
